I. Организационный момент. Целеполагание.
Teacher: My dear friends, today we are going to work with reported speech. At the lesson you will study Grammar reference and have some practice in the reported speech.
The task is to study the theory and do the tasks in cards A, B, C.
If you want to get a “3” you are to work with Card A.
If you want to get a “4” you are to work with Card B.
If you want to get a “5” you are to work with Card C.
You will have 30 minutes to work with the cards. Don’t forget to register your achievements in the chart. Good luck!

Study ex. 77 — p. 78. Read the dialogue between the members of a football fan’s family. Find the sentences with reported speech.
Mum: Good morning, dear. What’s the matter?
Mark: Dad says that he’s lost his voice.
Mum: He has lost his voice! He can’t. it must be a joke. Come on, dear. Don’t joke.
Mark: He says it isn’t a joke. He has really lost his voice.
Mum: I’ll make a nice cup of tea. You’ll soon get your voice back.
Susan: How did you lose your voice, Dad?
Mark: He says he went to the football match last night.
Susan: And you shouted so much you lost your voice.
Mark: Yes, he shouted so much you lost your voice.
Susan: Did you win?
Mark: No, they lost.
Mum: Here is a nice cup of tea. Would you like something to eat?
Mark: He says he would like some toast with honey.
Susan: Why honey, Mum?
Mum: Because honey is good for your throat.

- ‘’What’s on tonight?’’ asked my elder sister.
