Ход урока
I. Организационный момент. Целеполагание.
Teacher: Today we are going to find out more information about our environment and discuss one of the most important topic how to survive in modern invironment. At the lesson you will read the text « Shall we survive?», and learn some new words on this topic. Besides, you will come across the vocabulary that you can use while speaking about our environment.
The first task is to study the vocabulary in the textbook (page165, ex. 4).
If you want to get a “5” you are to do Task 1;
If you want to get a “4” you are to do Task 3;
If you want to get a “3” you are to do Tasks 2.
You will have 15 minutes to work.
The second task is to read the text and do the tasks in cards A, B, C.
If you want to get a “5” you are to work with Card C.
If you want to get a “4” you are to work with Card B.
If you want to get a “3” you are to work with Card A.
You will have 15 minutes to do the tasks. Don’t forget to register your achievements in the chart. Good luck!

III. Самостоятельное чтение текста (page 167, ex. 7).
Shall we survive?
People have been polluting the planet on which they live for many years. The result is very sd. We all live in a polluted world. Pollution started in a small way, but than it began growing and soon we all shall be in danger. The time has come to save our planet, to protect people, animals and plants from dying.
Firs of all countries should have strong laws to control pollution, to protect animals and plants. Governments should be responsible for protection nature. Today the law in some countries says: “The polluter must pay. If a person damages trees or animals, he must also pay.”But unfortunately such good laws don’t always work.
Scientists often meet and talk about ways of helping nature, and politicians in many countries listen to them and are beginning to talk about this too.
Countries can open national parks. They are big and usually very beautiful places without buildings. These are homes for animals living freely and also for birds, trees and flowers. Visitors can go there but they can’t hunt there. Politicians can think of ways to stop hunting.
Governments should also find ways to recycle things we have used: paper bags and plastic bags, plastic bottles and cans, glass and metal things. They should build recycling factories. Government must control and if necessary, close dangerous plants and factories.
We all must work together to make our planet a safe and beautiful place to live.
